Private Dining is here to stay
The world we live in is all about customization and specialization. we have what seems to be an infinite amount of services and subscriptions just waiting to receive our information so that algorithms can create the perfect music playlist, movie guide, restaurant suggestion or social app news feed. There is something for everyone, even in what might seem to be the smallest niche. with a whole world of people online a small niche of people can find their group. Considering all these customizable experiences the thought comes to mind, why can’t we do the same thing with our dining experiences. how can we create a service where clients and chefs can collaborate to create an experience that is customized to the clients needs. There are plenty of reasons why the traditional restaurant model is unable to attain that level of customization but a private chef can. It seems to me that the way technology is advancing and the influence that social media has on our interactions with businesses, chefs have a new opportunity to connect with clients in a personalized way. Previous generations of cooks and chefs have not had a way to directly connect with guests in the same way but with the rise and proliferation of the gig economy the sky is the limit.
