Clean eating starts with dumping seed oils
I’m going to go ahead and blame inflation and business marketing for our current dilemma and confusion surrounding cooking oils and fats. First and foremost inflation over the past few dozen years has really caused food prices and really everything to continue to get more expensive. As the cost of ingredients increases so do our overall recipe costs. This cost increase I believe has opened the door for big business to appeal to the general public with lower cost options. we saw this with the proliferation of hydrogenated oil, vegetable oils and seed oils. Mixed with millions of dollars worth of marketing, these unhealthy options have been deemed edible and are touted as the perfect replacement for what humans have used for generations. I.E. extra virgin olive oil, butter, lard, ghee, and coconut oil. For me, its hard to ignore the correlation of sickness and overall unhealthiness that has plagued the United States on a progressive incline since the introduction of these non food items that have been chemically altered to meat minimum guidelines of edibility. You may or may not have ever thought about this subject but here is why I want to bring it up. It’s on thing to be conscious about it and not purchase these unhealthy oils but what about when we eat out or buy prepared foods at the market. These businesses obviously have to make a profit. That’s the nature of business and you can’t fault them for that but you have to be aware that for the most part they are using canola, soy and other not so body friendly oils to cook, marinate and dress your meals. With a personal chef meal prep service you can be sure of every ingredient that is used in your everyday meals. You can be sure that your customized meals are made from the best ingredients available. Save time and take back control of your food choices. Your body will thank you.
